As a physical therapist, I believe in treating the whole body, not just isolated symptoms. Everything in the body is connected—the musculoskeletal, nervous, vascular, and visceral systems all work together, and when one is out of balance, it can affect the others. That’s why I take a holistic approach, using hands-on manual therapy and neuromuscular re-education to help restore that balance. It’s not just about relieving pain—it’s about improving how the nerves and muscles communicate, how movement patterns develop, and how the many systems regulate function. My goal is to create lasting change, helping people move better, feel better, and truly heal.
A graduate of Marymount University's Doctor of Physical Therapy program, I have been working in outpatient physical therapy for a decade. I have advanced training in Fascial Counterstrain (FCS), Postural Restoration Institute (PRI), Klein Institute Comprehensive Manual Therapy Techniques, and rehabilitative Pilates. As an athlete with back pain starting in my teenage years, I have sought out techniques that help me feel more at ease, stronger, and more resilient. Through years of experience and study, I’ve focused on what has worked for me, refining my approach based on what brings the most lasting benefits.
In addition to a DPT, I hold a BA from Vassar College and an MA from George Washington University. I have professional experience in conflict resolution, peace studies and fine dining management. The seasons of my life have taught me valuable lessons in compassion, problem solving and delivering exceptional service. When not at work, or at a physical therapy training, I share my Silver Spring home with my lovely husband, two terrific children and our elegant cat. Our family shares a love of hiking, travel and goofing around.
